slow mind and body
sweatshirts, tea, and tennis shoes
and contemplation
Notes:
Not feeling the greatest today, and a little sad that for the first time germs have found me so early in the semester. But I'm always grateful for the way that feeling under the weather makes me slow down and gives me permission to nap and listen to jazz string quartets on Pandora while I study.
In other news, Dr. Holmes put Galatians in the genre of "magical letter" this morning in Koine, and there was a lot of discussion afterwards. I don't quite agree, if you really define magic as trying to influence the divine, and if you take Paul's statements about the authority of the gospel being not from man as genuine (not just rhetorical devices).
"Magical letter" just happens to have exactly five syllables, too, but it seemed a bit heavy-duty to put into a haiku.
